Hiring will occur within 48 hours of the hiring fair. Resumes are preferred, but not required.

Do I need to bring a resume?

Resumes are encouraged, both electronic and printed resumes will be accepted. Don’t have one? Just bring yourself!

What kinds of jobs will there be?

Servers to kitchen staff, housekeeping to the front desk, and more. There are positions for everyone.

Do I need a ticket? Is there a cost?

No tickets required. There is no cost to attend.

Do I need a high school education?


How long does the interview take?

Each interview takes 8-10 minutes, on average.

Do I need to be proficient in English?

Requirements will vary based on each job.

How do I get there?

The Halifax Convention Centre is at 1650 Argyle St. Halifax, NS, B3J 0E6. It can be accessed by all major bus routes. Street parking is available. There are also several nearby parking garages


Which door should I go to once at the Convention Centre?

Enter via our Grafton Street entrance (located within the Rogers Square underpass).

I can’t make the hiring fair. Can I still apply?

To apply outside of job fair hours, please contact the individual hospitality businesses you are interested in working with.

Do I have to wear a mask?

We encourage attendees to wear masks to ensure safety for all.

Will there be interpreters?

There will be ASL interpreters in attendance the event.

What is the best time to attend when it might be a bit quieter?

There will be a sensory friendly hour on Saturday April 30th from 10am until 11am.
